Come join the ride around the greater Boston area. We will be pedaling away with the Boloco team. The mass ride starts in the morning and the racing starts in the afternoon around Government Center. The Prouty Charity Ride

On Saturday, July 14, I am going to participate in the 29th Annual Prouty Century Bike Ride & Challenge Walk to raise money for cancer research at Dartmouth-Hitchcock's Norris Cotton Cancer Center. I’ve chosen to bike 100 miles. But you certainly don’t have to bike 100 miles to participate in The Prouty. There are lots of ways to participate, a variety of events: from a 5k walk on Saturday in Hanover, NH, to a two-day 200-mile ride starting Friday in Manchester, NH.
I decided to do this ride for two reasons. I’ve had friends with cancer and members that have come to my classes during the rehabilitation process. Sweating their worries away. Second, I’ve biked some of the roads on the 100 mile loop and they can be challenging, gorgeous, painful, and rewarding. Team Boloco was kind enough to ask me to be a part of their team and it’s the least I can do to help gain awareness for this event in NH. I think the course will rival other events I’ve done in the past.
Why the Prouty?
Participants in The Prouty come together to celebrate and support the courage of cancer patients and survivors everywhere and to raise money for crucial research and important patient services at this nationally-recognized cancer center. Norris Cotton Cancer Center is the ONLY comprehensive cancer center in northern New England. Yet, research conducted here helps cancer patients not only in the Upper Valley, but all over the world.
